The Department has been actively involved in education, research, and public service. and also provides training on medically important insects/ arthropods and vector control for individuals or groups upon request.

Our responsibilities are teaching, training, research and service in the field of Medical Protozoa. We do variety of research works from enzyme to community.

Pathological diagnostic services, including autopsy, were provided for patients at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases and other hospitals. Special specimen services were also provided, i.e. permanent slide for microscopic anatomy and pathology study; electron microscopy service.

The mission of our department is teaching, training, research and services in the field of tropical diseases caused by medically important helminthes.

The Department places a strong emphasis on research and continues to produce significant contributions to national health development and international scientific advancement.

From basic laboratory research to applied research in community and product development that has already been commercialized by the licensing company, which can be summarized our activities as
